Photoshop Workshop for Designers of the Future

July 27, 2016 – Students of Captain Albert Aguilar National High School came to Southville International School and Colleges for a one-day workshop on the basics of Adobe Photoshop.

The participants arrived at the venue around 9:30 AM for the registration, followed by an icebreaker. The game then gave way to Selina and Kate’s official start of the Photoshop demonstration. They started with the very basic concept of Photoshop as students listened attentively. Some had technical difficulties but they were assisted by Multimedia Arts students.

After the demonstrations, the participants were given a task to design a poster with the theme “Back to School”. The students displayed creative and fantastic outputs and some designs just shone better than others. Designs of Mark, John, Aron, Jah-El and Kenneth were recognized as the best of the day and awarded with a bag of goodies. All the participants were also given Certificate of Participation and had their photos taken.

The outreach event ended successfully and it gave a huge feeling of accomplishment to the organizers. Everyone did a great job which was made possible with the collaboration of Ms. Myles Manalo and Mr. Mike Manansala, together with their students from Communication and Multimedia Arts.
