Southville Advocates Student Entrepreneurship through the 1st Entrep Boot Camp

In advocacy of instilling the spirit of Entrepreneurship in the hearts and minds of the students, Southville International School and Colleges held the 1st Entrep Boot Camp at the Multi Purpose Hall of the school’s Tropical Campus last August 18 – 20, 2016.

The Entrep Boot Camp is a three-day seminar-workshop designed to orient students in generating, developing, and evaluating ideas to launch innovative and viable new products. Various tools and techniques were introduced that allowed the participants to “develop and construct” new products which were presented before a panel of judges on the third day.

Guiding the 41 participants in this boot camp were recognized leaders and authorities in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Socio Entrepreneurship and Product Design such as: Mr. Mark Ruiz, founder of HAPINOY; Mr. Wallen Tan, entrepreneur and Y Combinator advocate; Mr. Ben Carandang, Go Negosyo speaker and business mentor; and Ms. Veronica Arquiza-Solano, Industrial Designer.
