In line with Dr. Jose Rizal’s 150th birthday celebration and as supplement to their studies, the High School IV regular Filipino students watched Gantimpala Theater’s staging of “El Filibusterismo” last August 27, 2011 at the AFP Theater in Camp Aguinaldo.

The students developed a better understanding and appreciation of the novel after watching the play’s creative staging, powerful visuals, clear storytelling and moving music. The students also looked beyond the entertainment value of the production to listen to the production to listen to Rizal’s message to the youth of all generations to be catalysts of positive change in society.
