Southville Holds Culminating Activity for Ballet Program

This summer of 2011, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) partnered with ACTS Manila to offer Ballet classes under its Summer SMART Programs. ACTS Manila is a registered organization of the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet and a member of the Association of Ballet Academies Philippines.

Aspiring young dancers from different schools, whose levels ranged from pre-primary to Level 3, trained for rigid sessions under the coaching of ACTS Manila’s Director, Jan L. Manlapig. After the rigorous training process, they had their Grand Culminating Activity last May 24, 2011 at SISC’s gymnasium. With the theme “United Colors of Dance”, the young performers put on their best dancing shoes and cultural costumes to gracefully showcase their skills. The production show concluded with the awarding of certificates to the students who successfully passed the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet international exams.

In line with SISC’s mission to produce well-rounded individuals who excel not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities such as the performing arts, it will continue to collaborate with ACTS Manila to offer year-round lessons in ballet.
