SISC Marks 22nd Foundation Month



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) celebrates its 22nd Foundation Month through a series of activities which started off with the Opening Ceremony.

 

In his welcome remarks, Dr. Marl V. Ferenal, President of SISC, thanked and congratulated the students, faculty and staff for the 22 years of hard work and steadfast commitment contributing to the progress of the school. Nursing Faculty Gain Insights on Palliative Care



Palliative care is the dynamic care of patients with advanced, progressive and incurable diseases. As approximately 400,000 Filipinos die each year, many have time to plan on how to cross the line pain-free.  But good palliative care is achievable only through the close collaboration of various healthcare professionals in delivering holistic and personal care to the patient suffering from a lingering illness.

Southville Mathletes Qualify for National Training



Twenty-four math whizzes from SISC were among the top scorers in the Elimination Stage of the Mathematical Challenge for Filipino Kids’ Training Program. They qualified to join the Mathematical Challenge for Filipino Kids Training Program (MCFKTP) where they can have the opportunity to participate in the different international mathematics competitions.

Southville Students Develop Social Graces



“I remember back in Southville High School we had a class where we were taught fine dining etiquette and how to properly use utensils. As a student I thought that this was so unnecessary and just not worth my time. But when I was in London, we were brought to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Southville Empowers Youth, Hosts SOLID Career Fair



The best gifts for a nation are educated citizens.

Southville International School and Colleges is set to help fourth year high school students from Metro Manila to plan for their future careers in the upcoming SOLID Career Fair: A Golden Gift on December 12, 2012.

Southville dominates in international meet



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) ruled over Global Jaya International School (GJIS) in boys volleyball, girls volleyball, boys basketball, and girls basketball in the Asian International Schools Conference (AISAC) held recently. AISAC is aimed to be a premiere sports competition among international schools in Asia, preferably accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Southville Opens Interest Clubs



The Varsity Interest Clubs Toward Outstanding Recreation and Sports (V.I.C.T.O.R.S.) recently held its series of launching for Grade School and High School.  The program aims to develop the intellectual, athletic or creative calling of SISC students in a fun yet informative setting.

 

Among the Interest Clubs available to grade school students are Arts & Crafts, Glee Club/SISC Chorale, YES (Young Enthusiasts in Science), School Buzz, Creative Dramatics, Film Appreciation, Book Lovers, Dance Movers, Girl Scouts, Computer, Math, Basketball, Soccer, Badminton, Karate/Self-Defense among others.

Southville Global Village Goes to US



Now on its 15th year, participants of Southville Global Village Program had an exploration tour in U.S. West Coast of San Francisco, Carmel, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.

Held from May 21-June 2, the tour aimed to provide students with a unique, personal, and intercultural learning. The travel program gives participants learning experiences they cannot acquire in the classroom as they are directly exposed to various cultures and peoples.
