Southville Holds Travel Trade Expo



Famous local tourist destinations such as Ilocos, Palawan, Cebu, and Davao were showcased in the recently held Enjoy the Sun and Fun! Travel and Trade Expo 2015.

Organized by Southville International School and Colleges’ College of Tourism, the event aimed to promote tourism in the Philippines and at the same time, provide hands-on experience in events planning and management to the students.

To add color to the event, some students performed famous Philippine Folk dances, Acts Manila showcased its ballet prowess, and Business students rendered song numbers. [Read more]

Southville Young Mathematicians Garner Top Awards



In partnership with the Department of Education-National Capital Region, DOST- SEI, the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild Philippines, the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, and the Philippine Council of Mathematics Educators, Sharp Calculators named Gen Mark Tanno of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme one of the Ten Outstanding Young Mathematicians of the National Capital Region. He was recognized in the Awarding Ceremony held last February 28, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center Hall 2 in SM Aura, Taguig City.

College of Comm Raises Community Awareness through CSR Week



The College of Communication organized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Week last July 28 to 31. This event which was held at the fifth floor of the Media Center aimed to raise awareness on SISCs adopted barangay and how the college has extended asssistance to the members of the community.

SISC Psychology Students Held Psychology Day



Last November 27, 2014, the College of Psychology celebrated Psychology Day with the theme “Psychology in the Midst of the 21st Century: Strengthening the Body and the Human Mind.” It is held to let BS Psychology majors demonstrate their creativity, character, collaboration, commitment to achieve, and competence.

The day was truly fun-filled with activities such as parlor games, ice breakers, and basketball among many others.  Through the games, the students exemplified the 5Cs of SISC.  Their participation and eagerness to win every game showed that aside from being academically competent, they are versatile.

Southville plays Santa to PoUCh



More than a hundred PoUCh (Poor Urban Children) beneficiaries received holiday cheers during the Save A PoUCh Christmas Party held recently. The party is Southville International School and Colleges’ (SISC) yearly commitment to the beneficiaries so they will have a feel of the season of love and sharing. In this simple but meaningful activity, the poor urban children can continue to hope no matter how dire circumstances can be. SISC delegates made a strong showing at this year’s Southville Global Education Network’s (SGEN) Academic Olympiad held last November 21, 2014 at Stonyhurst Southville International School – Batangas. International forum sets youth on leadership path



SISC’s Asian Federation of Student Leaders (AFSL) will bring together young student leaders from the Philippines and other Asian countries for a three-day workshop designed to help them become more engaged citizens and effective social innovators.

The AFSL International Youth Leadership Workshop will take place January 22 – 24, 2015 in Guam. The workshop aims to improve participants’ understanding of civic participation and activism, build their social awareness and project management skills, and develop a network of young leaders throughout the region.

Southville Innove Student Abegail Arevalo won the SCPGA Junior Tour 15-18 Division, USA to bring pride to the Filipino People.
