SGEN IXL Global Leader is the title earned by the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) after ranking first on the global IXL Learning Leaderboard for Academic Year 2025–2026. SGEN outperformed 13 international school networks in learning engagement, mastery, and time investment, making it the only Philippine school network to achieve this remarkable distinction.
SGEN swept the board by outperforming 13 prominent school networks across Asia and the United States.
It became the only Philippine representative included in the global benchmark.
SGEN students secured the top spot through these outstanding achievements:
- 17,867,301 Total Questions Answered – Demonstrating relentless practice and motivation for academic excellence.
- 504,169 Skills Proficient – Reflecting a strong academic foundation with over half a million skills reaching proficiency.
- 498,563 Skills Mastered – Showing true mastery and deeper cognitive understanding.
- 154,434 Total Learning Hours – Highlighting a culture of discipline and consistent self-paced learning.
The global report tracked student engagement across 14 international school systems, including the US, UK, Canada, and Australia versions of IXL. Participating institutions ranged from approximately 300 to more than 7,000 students. Despite having a smaller student population than many competitors, SGEN IXL Global Leader demonstrates that quality learning, consistent engagement, and personalized education can outperform larger school systems.
It was a victory of quality over quantity, achieved across the entire Southville Global Education Network family, including:
- Southville International School and Colleges (SISC)
- Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities
- South Mansfield College
- Stonyhurst Southville International School Batangas Campus
- Stonyhurst Southville International School Malarayat Campus
- Southville Monarch’s International School
IXL is an adaptive learning platform that uses personalized analytics to strengthen student skills in Mathematics, Language Arts, and Science. Integrated into SGEN’s daily curriculum, it encourages students to continue learning beyond the classroom, transforming screen time into productive study time.
While the data tells a story of technological achievement, the heart of the SGEN IXL Global Leader recognition lies in the classrooms and homes of the Southville community.
“I am confident I made the right choice for his education,” shared Abigail, a Southville alumna and current parent. “What I value most is the school’s strong academic foundation, qualified teachers, and its principle of No Student Left Behind, which ensures every child gets the support they need to succeed.”
Abigail also shared how Southville’s personalized learning approach has benefited her son.
“Southville’s commitment to personalized learning has impressed me, as it strengthens skills and allows each student to progress at their own pace while meeting international standards. Beyond academics, my son enjoys basketball, chess, and the movie club.”
Because the academic foundation is strengthened at each student’s own pace, school becomes an environment that builds confidence instead of stress. This personalized approach allows students to master concepts efficiently while enjoying extracurricular opportunities that help them become well-rounded individuals.
The SGEN IXL Global Leader achievement is more than a global ranking—it reflects Southville’s commitment to innovation, personalized learning, and academic excellence. As educational institutions worldwide search for ways to improve digital literacy and student engagement, SGEN serves as a model of what can be accomplished through consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
The success of the SGEN IXL Global Leader recognition proves that excellence is not determined by the size of a school system but by its commitment to empowering every learner. By combining innovative technology with dedicated educators and a student-centered approach, SGEN continues to set the benchmark for global educational excellence.
