Southville achieves a 100% passing rate on the 2022 Board Licensure Examination for Psychologists

Southville International School and Colleges’ (SISC) College of Psychology achieved a 100% passing rate in the February 2022 Board Licensure Examination for Psychologists

“We are grateful that we have sustained the delivery of quality education for a repeat of our 100% passing rate in the recently held BLEPP 2022. It was quite challenging as our graduates had to wait for two years for the pandemic crisis to wane,” shared College Dean Ruel Cajili.

One of the new Psychologists, Meriza “Riza” Reyes, shared during the interview her journey before passing the board exam. According to her, learning was a two-way process, and it was evident in the MA in Psychology Program’s approach. She added that the Professors weren’t there just to teach, they were also there to learn as Teachers and students alike exchanged knowledge, removing the notion that it is the professors job to teach, and students learn because they themselves listen. She shared that having professors who instill their professionalism and a great deal of trust encouraged her to go further than an MA. There is no definite way to prepare for the board exam. They can only help you in so far as they can guide you. Teaching you all that you need to know. The rest is up to you.

The SISC College of Psychology instituted new initiatives to ensure that everyone is on board despite the pandemic. They launched the Mental Health and Wellness Center to foster awareness of and the importance of mental health among students and school employees. The Center offers peer support services, counseling and psychosocial services, community service, and mental health education to provide timely social and emotional support to the school community.

Southville also celebrates the high passing rate for the Psychometrician’s Board Exam as well.
