Southville’s Tanno succeeds the qualifying stage for the 16th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad



A Basic Education student of Southville International School and Colleges, Gen Mark Tanno aced the National Capital Region qualifiers for the upcoming 16th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad (PMO).
Now on its 16th year, the PMO is a national competition designed to select the best secondary students in mathematical problem-solving in the Philippines. Organized by the Mathematical Society of the Philippines (MSP) it is open to all high school students in the Philippines to participate in this said event. The winners of the PMO will receive cash prizes and will automatically qualify to join the training pool for the 2014 International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO),largest and most prestigious international mathematics competition among secondary school students from all over the world.
