Southville Monarchs win at International Math-Science Competition

Southville Students brought home medals from the 15th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Primary School Students (IMSO) held last Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, 2018 in Zhejiang, China. Ervin Joshua Bautista of Gr. 6 – Perseverance won the Philippines’ lone gold medal in Science while Kristner Sheyn Saludo of Gr. 5 – Loyalty scored a silver medal also in Science.

With the theme “Smart, Skilled, and Creative in a Joyful Competition for Excellence,” the event drew almost 400 contestants from twenty-one countries and regions including Bulgaria, South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand and host China. The contestants were asked … [Read more]

Southville Mathletes distinguish themselves at national and international contests

Students from Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) came away with top honors at math competitions held internationally and locally.

Kristner Sheyn Saludo of Gr. 5 – Loyalty won a gold medal in the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge conducted last July 6 – 9, 2018 before adding another gold in the World Math Invitational held in Seoul, South Korea last July 13 – 17, 2018. She also came home with a bronze medal from the 2018 Hua Long Geng
International Golden Cup Mathematics Competition done in Xiamen, China last August 10 – 14.
