SGEN Celebrates the First Research and TQM Quest



Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) awarded the winners of the first Research and Total Quality Management (TQM) Quest last June 20, 2016, at the Luxembourg Hall, Southville International School and Colleges in Las Piñas City.

With the objectives of sustaining the highest productivity standards and quality services to the clientele through improving processes, products, services and culture of the organization, the First SGEN Research and TQM Quest received 40 promising entries from SGEN Schools. All of which had helped the SGEN schools immensely in terms of efficiency, productivity, expense reduction, curriculum development and classroom management.

Southville Student Leaders Hone True Leadership



June 23, 2016 – Student leaders and council officers of Southville International School and Colleges honed their leadership skills through the Outdoor Workshop on Leadership (OWL) held at Stonyhurst Southville International School in Lipa City, Batangas where they were joined other students leaders from Southville Global Education Network coming from South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst-Southville International School – Batangas campus, and StonyhurstSouthville International School – Malarayat campus.

Southville Students Much Applauded In Ballet Recital



ACTS-Manila at Southville ballet students presented their learning and skills in the ballet recital Runway 2016 Dance Collection held last May 26, 2016, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. They were loudly applauded as they presented five acts: two from the Primary and Level 1 class, and 3 from the Advanced class.

Southville International School and Colleges alumna, Andrea Rebecca Young of International Baccalaureate Class 2011, graduated Cum Laude at the University of San Diego in California with a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration major in International Business.

Andrea had been in Southville since primary education up to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). She shared that Southville was a huge part of her adolescence and was glad she had the opportunity to grow up with a tight knit community. BSN students bond with residents of Camillus Medhaven



In connection with the thrust of the outreach programs of the College of Nursing that focus on the seniors & the elderly, the Outdoor Enrichment Program chosen for this academic year 2015-2016 was a visit to Camillus Medhaven is a shelter and nursing home that provides resident-oriented, long-term full-time care; rehabilitative therapies; and adult daycare services to seniors.

Southville conducts talk on young adult fiction at Fully Booked



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) partnered with Fully Booked to encourage and promote reading in children, youth, and adults’ lives. This event was aimed to introduce and discuss Young Adult (YA) fiction books. Three guest speakers talked about their reading experiences in life. Mr. Roderick Ramos, SISC librarian, shared about his skills and practices as a librarian. Ms. Precious Banaag and Ms. Isabel Gomez, both of whom are book bloggers, talked about their passion for reading and writing about the different books they’ve read. College of Psychology: Outdoor Educational Program – March 6, 2015



The College of Psychology held its annual Outdoor Educational Program (OEP) last March 6, 2015 where students from 1st to 3rd year and selected 4th year students participated and accompanied by 8 professors. The trip’s destinations were National Center for Mental Health, Nayon ng Kabataan, and the Sanctuary Center.

Good Feedback Was Received

PARA: A Basic Photography Exhibit



On March 17, 2015, the AB Communication 1 students launched their very first exhibit PARA in the college lobby. From the street food to the fiesta banners to the Chinese lanterns to “Manila” by The Hotdogs playing in the background, one can definitely feel the Manila vibe.

The exhibit lunched kicked off around 10:00 AM, an hour later than expected, due to last minute finishing touches. Nursing students celebrate World Kidney Day



Let’s take care of our kidneys since the repercussion of kidney failure is a difficult and complex condition to deal with. Chronic renal failure necessitates hemodialysis for the rest of one’s life until a successful kidney transplant is done. That was the message of the forum at Asian Hospital & Medical Center (AHMC) joined by Southville International School and Colleges’ BS Nursing students in celebration of World Kidney Day.

Southvile karatekas bring home medals



The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Karate Team brought home a total of twenty eight medals (eleven gold, eleven silver, and six bronze) from the 2014 Zen Okinawan Karate Kobudo Tournament organized by the Philippine Union of Karate Kobudo Organizations.

The tournament pitted schools and gyms from the National Capital Region in Kumi (Sparring) and Kata (choreographed pattern of movements).
