Southville Educ Students Showcase Sign Language Skills @ National Disability Week



In celebration of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, Southville Education Students showcased knowledge of their sign language skills as they interpreted the Philippine National Anthem and prayer during the opening ceremony of Persons and Disabilities Family Day.

“It is amazing to see fellow education students doing sign language. Language is not a barrier at all. It makes me look forward to my sign language class in the future,” says Joie Balmes, a sophomore student.

Southville Grade schoolers open their minds to entrepreneurship



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Grades 3 – 7 students learned what it is like to be their own boss at the annual Entrepreneurship Days held recently.Organized by Math & Business Department, the program had engaging and fun activities designed to inspire the students’ interest in entrepreneurship, and their ability to create and implement innovative ideas. International Baccalaureate Classes Start



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme students for Academic Year 2012 – 2013 were warmly welcomed by the IB officers and instructors spearheaded by SISC IB Coordinator, Ms. Marie Anne Mirando.

International Accreditors Affirm SISC as a World Class Educational Institution



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) has made it again!

 

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), USA granted SISC another six years of accreditation that has to be re-validated by June 30, 2018. The 5-day re-accreditation process was conducted by the WASC Committee in SISC last February 2012.

 

The WASC accreditation committee was comprised of Chairperson Constance Oliver, Vice Chairperson William Cristelman, and members Patrick Houterman, Gwen Ueoka, William Butcher, and Andy Valadka. Southville Students Excel in Chalk Art Contest



While a chalk is usually a teacher’s instrument in writing lectures, two SISC high school students mastered using this unconventional medium in making an art design.

 

Francheska Calara of Grade 10 Conviction and Juna Lee of Grade 9 Fortitude won 1st and 2nd places respectively in the Lyra On-the-Spot Colored Chalk Menu Board Design Contest held at Sanctuario de San Antonio Parish Center, Forbes Park, Makati City.
