Juniors Undergo Career Exploration



The High School III class of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) had a Career Exploration Symposium recently featuring successful people in the fields of information technology, health service, hotel and restaurant management, media arts, education, business, and psychology. The professionals expounded on the practices, challenges, and rewards of each discipline. The participants were also presented with college options available to them including those from the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) schools.

Grade School Math Buffs Triumph



The Grade School Math Team comprised of Adrian Mendoza, Chan Hee Lee and Jae Hyo Jang took second place in the Inter-Elementary Math Contest held at the University of the Philippines – Los Baños last January 16, 2012. The team was awarded a gold medal, trophy, certificate, and cash for besting thirty-eight other teams. [Read more]

Psychology and CAPS Departments Tie Up for Outreach Program



The Psychology Department and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) took heed of its social responsibility by recently conducting a series of seminars to the parents of CAA day care students.

The six sessions focused on holistic development of parents through values formation, parenting communication, spiritual parenting and interpersonal relationship with the aim to make the participants more aware of their responsibilities in honing the lives of their children to become better people, and for their families to have a life of service. Southville Teams Rank in National Stock Trading Challenge



Two college teams of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) ranked 5th and 6th places in the 2011 Equity Challenge: Clash of the Universities sponsored by Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). 60 groups from 14 colleges and universities battled in the said tournament which ran from August 9 to October 7, 2011.

Tanno Gets High Distinction Award in 2011 ICAS – Math



Fresh from his victory in the International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) – Science, Gen Mark Tanno once again made Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) proud as he brought home an additional recognition, this time in ICAS – Math. ICAS provides independent and extensive evaluation of students’ understanding in the core learning areas.

Southville Holds Car Show for a Cause



The Southville International Junior Marketing Association organized the South Beat Car Show last September 17, 2011 in line with the festivities of Southville International School and Colleges’ 21st Anniversary Celebration. The event brought together car aficionados showcasing their most modern and luxurious vehicles. Southville beauties dubbed as “car babes” also ramped the night away in the modeling competition.

Film Enthusiasts Attend Cinemalaya 2011



Cineaste is Southville International School and Colleges’ (SISC) interest club for students who are film aficionados. Last July 21, 2011, they had their first exposure trip to the Cultural Center of the Philippines to watch a movie in the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.

Accompanied by their club moderator, Moises Anthony Cruz, who is also an independent filmmaker, the students had a chance to view an art film different from mainstream cinema. A short lecture and critical reflection were done after the film viewing.

In line with Southville International School and Colleges’ advocacy of instilling in its students the value of patriotism, the College of Business Administration and High School Division sponsored a Business Lecture Series – CEO Forum last July 21, 2011. Southville Students Join National Children’s Book Reading Day



It was laughter and learning rolled into one as the Grade 2 students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) participated in the 2011 National Children’s Book Reading Day held in SM South Mall Event Center last July 19, 2011. The same event was held simultaneously in 41 SM Malls nationwide, including SM Xiamen, Jinjiang, and Chengdu in China.

Southville Alumnus Brings Good News to Vietnam



Former High School Student Council President Juan Alfredo Calayan expressed his unfathomable joy when he visited the school recently.

Fondly called Red by his former schoolmates, classmates and teachers, the student leader embarked on a missionary trip to Vietnam with the main goal of reaching out to its students and praying for open doors in the universities.
