The High School Graduating Class had its Batch Comprehensive Growth Series (CGS) on January 14 – 16, 2014 with the theme “Moving On: Making a Difference.” The seniors took three days away from campus at the beautiful Covenant House & Retreat Center in Dasmarinas, Cavite to reflect on their collective experience at SISC and have one last hurrah as a graduating class. Southville Dance Troupe Learns Korean Culture



Members of Southville Dance Troupe recently attended the Korean Cultural Dance Workshop held at Korean Wave Hall, Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines, Global City, Taguig. The event was attended by fifty selected student-dancers coming from different schools in Metro Manila. Attendees were treated to an afternoon of different Korean traditional dance styles and techniques led by Mr. KIM Yong-chul of the SUP Dance Troupe and the official resource speaker-dance lecturer representative from Korea. The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) BS Tourism college students had a rare opportunity of getting inspired by a cyberspace personality when one of the most followed Philippine travel blog writers appeared in the flesh. The 6th Commencement Exercises of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) was held last June 4, 2012, with Ms. Deidre Fischer, Superintendent of Cebu International School, as the keynote speaker. The Portfolio Assessment for Southville International School and Colleges Students (P.A.S.S.) is a distinguishing feature of the school that aims to hone the students’ critical thinking skills as well as to develop their innate desire to seek and explore answers to questions or ideas they have about themselves, their community, or their environment.

SGEN Presidents benefit concert to raise funds



Presidents from the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) will headline “AMOUR – The Greatest Love of All” BENEFIT CONCERT for economically disadvantaged college students to access meaningful quality education. The concert will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013, 7 p.m. at the Insular Life Corporate Centre Auditorium, Insular Life Drive, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the scholarship programs of SGEN’s SEED Academy and South SEED – Las Piñas Doctors Hospital College.

Acknowledging the important role poetry plays in humanity, SISC recently launched its Poetry of Endearing Memories in Southville International School and Colleges (POEMS) for school year 2011-2012. Southville Holds Culminating Activity for Ballet Program



This summer of 2011, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) partnered with ACTS Manila to offer Ballet classes under its Summer SMART Programs. ACTS Manila is a registered organization of the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet and a member of the Association of Ballet Academies Philippines.

 

Aspiring young dancers from different schools, whose levels ranged from pre-primary to Level 3, trained for rigid sessions under the coaching of ACTS Manila’s Director, Jan L. Manlapig.
