Southville-Innove Alumna Headlines University Golf Scene



Southville International School and Colleges – INNOVE Education Solution alumna Abegail Arevalo is the rising superstar of the San Jose State University Golf Team. In her school’s latest foray, Abby finished 6th out of 45 contenders, and 1st in her school’s golf roster, in the Mountain West Conference Championship last April 18-20, 2016.

An Easy Fix



The clamor of students on an early Saturday morning is pretty hard to miss. I walked into the Lux Hall on that very Saturday, still pretty hung up on the last few minutes (or hours) of sleep I could have gotten if I didn’t have to attend CAS. Maestro Arnel de Pano Teaches Choral Music to SISC Students in Open Workshop



Music lovers got a first taste of what it means to sing and perform choral music from no less than Maestro Arnel de Pano in an Open Choral Workshop held at the Southville International Schools and Colleges on January 24.

The workshop, titled “I Love Music,” had Maestro Arnel teaching the basic elements of the art to college students. Topics covered were rhythm, melody, tempo, the different musical styles and the students were encouraged to participate by singing even as they were taught how to prepare their vocal instruments. Southville’s Golf Whiz emerges as victor in PHL Girls – Junior Golf Championship



Abby Arevalo, a Basic Education student of Southville International School and Colleges triumphed in the recent 2013 Pondok Indah Junior Golf Championship in Jakarta Indonesia. Arevalo won second place via courtback over Thailand’s Rojanapeansatith. ICTSI – Philippines placed 1st in the team championships with a score of 440 (148-152-140), with Thailand scoring at 443 (150-138-155) and Indonesia at 473 (161-157-155).

Southville Educ Students Showcase Sign Language Skills @ National Disability Week



In celebration of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week, Southville Education Students showcased knowledge of their sign language skills as they interpreted the Philippine National Anthem and prayer during the opening ceremony of Persons and Disabilities Family Day.

“It is amazing to see fellow education students doing sign language. Language is not a barrier at all. It makes me look forward to my sign language class in the future,” says Joie Balmes, a sophomore student.

Southville Grade schoolers open their minds to entrepreneurship



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Grades 3 – 7 students learned what it is like to be their own boss at the annual Entrepreneurship Days held recently.Organized by Math & Business Department, the program had engaging and fun activities designed to inspire the students’ interest in entrepreneurship, and their ability to create and implement innovative ideas. Prior to the event, the participants learned about teamwork and business formation as they worked in groups to create a company name, logo and slogan, assign job functions, and come up with marketable products.
