Southville Historical Society IAC Asian Championships: 7 Awards in Thailand

The Historical Society of Southville capped off a remarkable competition season with a total of seven awards at the IAC Asian Championships held in Thailand, showcasing the school’s excellence in both Geography and History across multiple divisions.

Leading the charge was Lucas Rodriguez, who delivered a standout performance by clinching First Place in the Geography Bee Varsity Division and Third Place in the History Bee Varsity Division, solidifying his status as one of the delegation’s most decorated competitors. Ethan Pollard followed closely, earning Second Place in the Geography Bee Varsity Division, while Leira Costes rounded out the Geography Bee results with a Seventh Place finish in the Middle School Division.

In the History Bee, Aryan Verma secured Fifth Place in the Middle School Division, and Paolo Schroeter reached the Semifinalist round in the Varsity Division, a testament to the depth of talent the Southville delegation brought to the competition.

The delegation’s success extended to the History Bowl, where Southville C, composed of Aryan Verma, Kent Togawa, Nikolai Eusebio, and Leira Costes, earned Fourth Place in the Middle School Division, capping off a strong two-day showing for the team.

Alongside the competing students, the delegation was joined by representatives Mumar Veluz, Alazar Sabal, Alexander Dixon, Aaron Diesmos, Aira Diesmos, and Nathalia Kimora del Prado, who flew the Southville flag with pride throughout the event.

The Historical Society extends its heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their incredible hustle, dedication, and sportsmanship displayed throughout this intense competition. This achievement marks a proud milestone for Southville as it wraps up another successful competition season on the international stage.
