Southville Officers Attend International Healthcare Forum

Astrid de Leon, College Director, and Dr. Jocelyn Tizon of Southville International School and Colleges recently attended the prestigious 17th AUAP Learning and Sharing Forum on Health in Daegu, South Korea from May 9 to 11, 2024.

The forum was organized by the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) in cooperation with Daegu Health College. It brought together experts from around the world to discuss lessons learned from the pandemic and the future of integrated healthcare and sustainable development.
During the forum, the Southville officers attended panel discussions and concurrent sessions focused on the latest trends and innovations in healthcare education and delivery. They also engaged in a benchmarking visit to a leading academic institution hosted by Dr. Sung Hee Nam, Former President AUAP and President of Daegu Health College learning about their approach to integrating sustainable development principles into their nursing and allied health programs.

The knowledge gained will enhance Southville’s nursing program as well as allied health programs like Medical Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Pharmacy at the South SEED LPDH College.
The theme “Together we build our health for all through higher education” aligned with Southville’s mission of providing quality education across multiple disciplines. This was a valuable opportunity to contribute to vital dialogues shaping healthcare education and policy globally.
We are proud to have our officers representing Southville at such an important international event.
