WRECK-IT RALPH 2: The Colleges of Communication and Multimedia Arts Hold a Special Block Screening

The fourth-year Multimedia Business students of Ms. Mylene Manalo held a special block screening of Ralph Breaks the Internet on November 21 at Robinsons Mall Cinema, Las Pinas. The said event not only served as a class activity but also as a fundraising activity for the colleges’ future events.

Moviegoers and Disney enthusiasts enjoyed a special screening of the said sequel. Upon entering the theatre room, they were given free goods from Universal Robina Corporation such as Cloud 9, chocolate drinks and bars, Piattos and Pasta Express.

Wreck-it Ralph 2 followed the story of Ralph and Vanneloppe as they traveled the unknown world of the internet in a quest to save the Sugar Rush game. The entertaining narrative combined humor and well-thought metaphors to represent the digital age. Nevertheless, interesting life lessons could be learned from the different struggles that both characters experienced.

Needless to say, it was an amusing yet emotional story which captured not only the heart of the youth but also the older generations. “Ang ganda ng movie! Sana may part 3”, said a moviegoer. “I really enjoyed the story. It was really cute and emotional at the same time. I like the way they portrayed the internet. And the scene with the Disney Princesses was really fun.”, said one of the organizers, Beatriz Vizconde.

It was a fun and successful event. We will look forward to more like those in the future.
