SGEN Faculty and Students Win in Stock Trading Challenge



Committed to promote, develop and advance awareness and knowledge of capital market and entrepreneurship and their role in the development of the national economy, Southville Global Education Network hosted the 2017 SGEN Stock Market Challenge through Investagrams last October 16 to February 9, 2018. More than 70 teams of students, faculty, and staff joined the challenge to learn about the stock market and grow their own portfolio.

Creativity in the Media Center: COMMA Students Pitch Short Film Ideas to Industry Professionals



3rd year students from the Colleges of Communication and Multimedia Arts recently had the opportunity to showcase their creativity in front of respected film industry professionals last February 6, 2018 at SISC’s Media Center.

Indeed, as part of a final project for Sir Mike Manansala’s Video Production class, the 3rd year students were asked to pitch three different short film proposal in the following categories: Horror, RomanceComedy
and Drama.

Southville Delegation Wins Major Awards in Model United Nations Assembly



Southville International School and Colleges students John David S. Villariño of International Baccalaureate 2 won the Best Delegate of World Health Organization award and Park Ye Eun of Grade 10-Leadership won Best Delegate of Historical Security Council, while Alexandra Therese Derpo of International Baccalaureate 1 was chosen as Assistant President of United Nations Environment Program in the recently concluded 20th Model United Nations Assembly organized by Rotary Club of Makati Jose P. Rizal last February 10-11, 2018.

Ten Southville Students To Compete in Asian English Olympics



Argela-Vi Malanao, Dale Pons Gregorio, Daniel Nikolai Dacanay, Lester Joseph Buitizon, Park Soo Hyun, Yoo Chaeyun, Kim Hyun, Song Seungmin, Park Jun Hee, Kwon Jiwon with Teacher Garry Gonzalo of Southville International School and Colleges flew this morning to Indonesia to compete at Asian English Olympics (AEO). The Olympics aims to provide an ideal opportunity for Asian youth to flex their competitive muscle in the fields of Debate, Speech, Spelling Bee, Short Story Writing, Newscasting, Radio Drama, Scrabble, and Storytelling.

Looking for opportunities



In line with the 2018 Global Summit and International Nursing Conference held last January 25 & 26, 2018 here in Manila, the Philippine Nurses Association of America officers and key delegates took time last January 24, Wednesday to meet up with local nurses and students at the PNA headquarters for their 2018 PNAA Balik-Turo initiative.  It was a very inspiring and information-packed session for the College of Nursing’s seniors who seemed to be the only nursing students in attendance.
