Southville Parent Education Center holds parenting session



Southville Parent Education Center (SPEC) recognizes and acknowledges each parent’s significant role in the education of children. Some parents though truly experience the joys of parenthood, the filial love is nurtured as parents and children enjoy the bonds of family life. There is no rehearsal for parenting, thus, the SPEC is critical in providing support as parents experience the peaks and valleys of parenting.

Southville Gets IIP Gold



“Southville International School and Colleges is the first organization in Asia that got the Gold certificate from IIP without going through Bronze and Silver,” Ms. Janet Webster, the IIP Accrediting Team Leader that did the 3-day assessment in Southville on August 10-12, 2015 said. Southville alumna gets publishing deal with US publishing house



International fiction author and Southville alumna Kate Evangelista gets a publishing deal with Swoon Reads, an imprint of Macmillan Publishers USA. In a recent interview, Kate, who did her debut as a young adult fiction writer with her novel, Taste, shared the story of her accomplishment. “Swoon Reads has this fantastic website where writers of young adult romance can post their novels in the hopes of getting chosen for their next list. Southville alumnus enters elite Korean university



You Tae Jeon, a 2012 high school graduate of SISC, was accepted in Yonsei University which is part of the Korean Ivy League. Every year, just 2 percent get into Korea’s prestigious SKY universities, whose nickname is an acronym for Seoul National University, Korea University and Yonsei University. Jeon was a member of the honors section while in SISC and his research on Phytoremediation of Lead using Pistia Stratiotes Linn was awarded most outstanding experimental research. [Read more]

Shop at the High School Christmas Bazaar



The High School Division will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on December 4 – 5, 2014, 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, at the Monarchs Gym of Luxembourg Campus. The activity is an integral part of the SISC business curriculum which provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom on running a business, and become “their own boss.” It is a major requirement in the business subjects, credited as the students’ authentic assessment grade.

Ice skater joins Asian juniors tournament



Elaine Hannah Solomon of Grade 7 – Gratitude represented the country in the 2014 Asian Junior Figure Skating Challenge held at the Festival Walk Glacier in Hong Kong. Aside from the Philippines, the best skaters from China, Malaysia, Thailand , Indonesia and Hong Kong took part in the annual event. [Read more]

Math topnotchers receive awards



Yoo Ho Yeong of Gr. 2 – Archimedes, Jan Ignazio Yu of Gr. 2 – Franklin, and Jeremie Keon Torralba of Gr. 4 – Humility were recognized by the Asian Psychological Services and Assessment, Inc. for topping the Standards-Based Assessment (SBA) Math exams held in various private schools nationwide last Academic Year 2013-2014. SISC alumna ranks 4th in nursing board



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) High School Class 2010 alumna Katrina Geronimo placed 4th in the June 2014 Nurse Licensure Examination from 30,000 examinees all over the Philippines.
A consistent gold and values excellence awardee in SISC, Katrina entered high school at a young age and struggled trying to figure out what she wanted to take in college.
“I chose the medical field because in terms of personality and abilities, I felt that was the best choice. I don’t have regrets choosing my field but I’m not closing any door. Life is a never ending, winding road,” said Katrina.
