Southville representatives attend US Memorial Day Ceremony



Dr. Jerry Aguilar and Mr. Philip Bennett from the Office of Public Relations represented Southville International School and Colleges at the US Memorial Day Ceremony last May 24, 2015 at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Taguig City. Southville students cop major awards in the search for T.O.P.S. 2015



The Top Outstanding Performing Students (T.O.P.S.) awarding ceremony recognized ten 4th year high school students from all over the country for exceptional performance in academic, leadership and co-curricular activities on March 20, 2015.

The T.O.P.S. selection procedure was indeed a challenge. Twenty other contenders were awarded Honorable Mention certificates. Out of thirty T.O.P.S. awardees, nine are from SISC, namely: Lee Sunmin, Maria Josefina Belen C. Garcia, Andrei Kenneth Dominic T. Merino, Leah Monica Rodriguez, John Aaron Lewis G. Notable Directors Take Part in Media Talk 2015



Well-known directors Louie Ignacio, Sigfreid Barros Sanchez, and Emmanuel Quindo Palo imparted their knowledge as resource speakers of this year’s Media Talk.

Media Talk: Beyond the Lens of Imagination was held last February 4, 2015 at the Luxembourg Gym. This is a collaborative project of 3rd year AB Communication students and 3rd & 4th year AB Multimedia Arts students for their classes in Media Management & Entrepreneurship, and Multimedia Business. The event intended to share to high school students current practices in the film and directing industry through the talk of the invited speakers.

Southville Alumna is Magna Cum Laude of America’s Best College



2014 U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best College, Menlo College, has given recognition to Southville International School and Colleges’ Alumna, Samantha Alyssa Tongo. Her exemplary academic performance as a Marketing Communication student paved way to graduating as magna cum laude.

Southville Ballet Students Leap in 2012 Philippine Dance Cup



Southville International School and Colleges’ Ballet Team composed of Alexandra Denyse Oropesa, Tiffany Claire Lau, Princess Stephanie Balido, Lourdes Marian Andujar, Clare Andrea Cecilia Egalla, Dominique Castro and Koichi Shibata, Southville Ballet Dancers bagged honorable mention, Senior A Group Division, Classical, in the recently held 2012 Philippine Dance Cup, the country’s premiere amateur ballet competition held only once every two years, with over 300 participants from schools all over the country.

Competing against 30 ballerinas and danseurs in the solo category, Oropesa, Lau and Balido also ranked 7thin the Junior D, Solo Division.

Southville Supports Local Government Initiatives, Launches Star Parade



Recognizing the importance of taking active role in building and promoting community culture, Southville Global Education Network (SGEN), under its Student Affairs Department, has made a commitment to support Las Pinas government’s livelihood project by pledging more than 500 lanterns used for the recently held SGEN Star Parade and Contest.

Southville Students to Join Football Europe Tour



Gabriel Aguilar and Prince David from Southville International School and Colleges are set to join the Makati Football Club Delegation of Boys under 11 in the upcoming Europe Football Tour 2013.

Gabriel and Prince, who will be competing in Costablanea Cup, Gothia Cup and Football Festival Denmark Club, started playing football at a very young age through Southville’s V.I.C.T.O.R.S. (Varsity, Interest Club Towards an Outstanding Recreation and Sports) program which provides worthwhile activities where students may channel their energy.

Southville Bags 3rd Place in PRSP Student Grand Prix



Southville International School and Colleges finished 3rd place in the 2011 PRSP Student Grand Prix with the theme May Say Ako, Ito ang Gagawin Ko. The team represented by students from the Colleges of Communication and Multimedia Arts bested different universities nationwide, in what is considered as the most prestigious interschool competition for Public Relations.

SISC’s entry this year is entitled Sangguniang Kabataan, Sagot sa Kinabukasan which aims to regain the credibility of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) as the government’s conduit in policy-making and nation building.
