Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) joins other top international schools in the country in the recently concluded Model United Nations (MUN) Local 2018, a forum for high school students to debate on current global issues and gain insights into the world of international politics and decision-making. Southville Monarchs Shine in International Science Assessment

Students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) received awards in the 2018 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) – Science that drew over one million student entries from more than twenty countries. Ervin Joshua Bautista of Gr. 6 – Perseverance, Robert Jeremiah Rivera of Gr. 7 – Resilience, and Gwyneth Margaux Tangog of Gr. 9 – Compassion were awarded the High Distinction Certificate for placing in the top 1% of all participants in their level. Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) held its School Spirit Week last September 17 – 21, 2018 to unify the student body and create a greater sense of school spirit. Southville Grade Schoolers Earn Perfect Scores in Nationwide English Test

Two Grade School students from Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) topped the Standards Based
Assessment (SBA) in English for Grade 2 last academic year. Getting perfect scores were Rymmel Renzo Macapagal of Gr. 3 – Courtesy and Japjot Singh of Gr. 3 – Wisdom who will be recognized in an awarding ceremony to be held on November 8, 2018 at the Bayview Park Hotel.

Southville IB Holds Exhibit on Mental Awareness



Southville IB Holds Exhibit on Mental Awareness

The exhibit will showcase “Food of the Future”, a wide range of craft-works done collaboratively by SISC IB student volunteers to portray how neglecting the environment we inhabit will result in such food to be on our tables in the near future.

Further, the event will also feature “The Lighthouse Project”, a visual art exhibition-centered on mental health advocacy-by SISC IB student volunteers. Profits earned from the artworks will all be donated to Talang Dalisay-an organization dedicated to a likewise advocacy.

The Exhibits will be on September 22, 10 AM – 7 PM at Cortes de Las Palmas.

Southville Mathletes Distinguish Themselves at National and International Contests

Students from Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) came away with top honors at Math Competitions held internationally and locally.

Kristner Sheyn Saludo of Gr. 5 – Loyalty won a gold medal in the Singapore International Math Olympiad Challenge conducted last July 6 – 9, 2018 before adding another gold in the World Math Invitational held in Seoul, South Korea last July 13 – 17, 2018. She also came home with a bronze medal from the 2018 Hua Long Geng
International Golden Cup Mathematics Competition done in Xiamen, China last August 10 – 14.

Southville Business High School Students Win in Business Competition

The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) team from Grade 12 – Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) took first place in the business case presentation competition held at De La Salle University (DLSU) recently. Comprised of Sharina Ahmed, Christian Chia, Pola Cueto, Rance Llovido, Sid Espinosa, Elizabeth Burigsay and Derick Salvoro, the team presented their champion idea for sustaining and expanding a sole proprietorship business structure.

Southville International Baccalaureate classes start

The SISC International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program students for Academic Year 2018 – 2019 were warmly
welcomed by the IB officers and instructors in the orientation spearheaded by SISC IB Assistant Coordinator, Ms. Armie Ababa and the IB teachers and advisers.

The students were given a glimpse of the two-year IB program, governed by the Swiss-based International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), that requires IB students to take classes in six subjects, become proficient in a second language, do volunteer work, and undertake original research that results in a 4,000-word essay.
