College of Nursing Fosters International Collaboration



Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) recently hosted the study tour of Nursing students and faculty members from Singapore’s Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Health Sciences. The visitors observed SISC BS Nursing students in various clinical settings, and were acquainted with SISC’s community health assessment program for the children of poor families in the barangay. Dean Carmelita Villegas, Nursing instructors and SISC Nursing students shared best practices and exchanged academic insights with the visitors.

SGEN Inks Pact with China



Led by Southville International School and Colleges, the Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) an affiliation of 7 premier educational institutions in the country, and Jimei University, one of the key universities in Fujian Province, China, strengthened their partnership once more during the visit last August 21, 2009 of the latter’s administrators headed by their President, Professor Jiande Gu, together with staff from the Chinese Education Center in the Philippines, and Hanban, the executive body of the Chinese Language Council International.

Communication students conduct Oral Communication workshop



Communication 3 students under Ms. Mylene Manalo held their last outreach program last Wednesday, March 8, 2016, at the SISC Media Center. Students from CAA were invited to Southville International School and Colleges to participate in a “Workshop on Oral Communication”, which covers basic information in creating a PowerPoint presentation.

The outreach started with the SISC invocation followed by the prayer before meals led by Darryl Papa. IB Holds Interactive School Fair



Breaktimes are usually a relief from the tensions of classwork and lectures.Ultimately, the idea of learning can be a drag when one can be resting. On January 14, students of the International Baccalaureate Programme hosted a fair with interactive activities for everyone.

The IB fair was open to all from eight in the morning to four in the afternoon. Inside Luxembourg Hall, six booths— stemming from main subject groups of the intensive coursework of the students— different attractions were available to try. Southville retains IB World School status



Southville International School and Colleges successfully passed the five-year evaluation of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) receiving positive results and some commendations in the process. SISC was authorized as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in August 2005 and graduated its ninth batch of IB students last June 2015. Currently, the SISC IB Programme is offered in the Grades 11 and 12 levels.

SISC IB Students Led International Peace Day Celebration



As an IB World School, SISC shares the responsibility of promoting peace and managing conflict so everyone can live together peacefully not only on a global scale but also in personal and classroom interactions. Southville Football Players represented Team PH in 3 European Football Youth Tournaments



Gabriel Aguilar and Prince Alfred Dellosa, student-athletes of Southville International School and Colleges, participated in Makati Football Club Inc.’s Europe Tour 2013 representing the Philippines in three International Youth Tournaments. The matches were held in Bendorm, Spain for the Costa Blanca Cup, Goteburg, Sweden for the Gothia Cup and Hjoring, Denmark for the Dana.
