The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) girl spikers retained the International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC) volleyball crown as they swept rival Cebu International School in two sets last October 17 at Brent International School – Subic. The boys volleyball team, on the other hand, placed third runner-up among six participating teams that also included Brent International School Manila, Brent International School Subic, Brent International School Baguio, British School Manila, Faith International Academy and Cebu International School.

Company member Pam Buot and aspirants Clare Egalla, Pia Mercado and Reese Suarez, who started ballet training at ACTS Manila – Southville under the supervision of Director Jan Manlapig, made it to the roster of the ballet show Narratives in Motion staged last November 4, 2018, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Main Theater. And there is no greater joy in the world than to put smiles on children’s faces.” Thus shared members of the Southville International Junior Marketing Association (SIJMA) during their recently held outreach program held at BF Homes Phase 3 Gymnasium and the RCPS Rotary Center. Three high school students from SISC were named finalists in the secondary school category of the 2018 New York Times Asia-Pacific Writing Competition. The essays of Miguel Dominico Alzona, Akisha Julianne Cu and Vincent Romero were among the 30 finalists chosen out of thousands of entries submitted to the regional essay competition.
Responding to the question “Can people still achieve a better life through migration?”, Alzona wrote a 500-word opinion piece entitled “Africa’s Curtain Call,” Cu penned “The Elusive Dream of Migrants” and Romero composed “Immigration, The New Colossus.”
