The topics covered include Reading Gains through Read Aloud, Sustaining Mindful Reading Habits, and Recreational and Intentional Reading that aim to align diverse methodologies and practices to raise highly proficient readers in today’s digital age.

Mr. Jude Russel Cuntapay made it to the list of bright young leaders set to leave for Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Spring 2019, April of this year. YSEALI, an Academic Fellowship Program sponsored by the U.S. government was launched in 2013 merging Asian nations promoting diplomacy and stronger ties among Asiatic young leaders from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. Twenty-three young diplomats were sent by Southville International School and Colleges to represent the said institution at the Model United Nations Assembly 21st Conference. The team arrived at the World Health Organization Headquarters in formal wear armed with enough skills they need to survive the two-day exhaustive discussion on the world’s top issues. Information Technology (IT) student, Bea Soriano Guevarra, is this year’s newly elected Director of Information Communication and International Linkages for Junior Philippine Computer Society (JPCS). In an interview, Guevarra humbly shared that most of her biggest life events happened by accident. The course IT was a plan B to her and the election for the JPCS Board of Officers happened on the day she was only supposed to submit the requirements needed. Grade 7 “Science Guru” Receives Double Awards in Malaysia

The Philippine Board of Studies handpicked top students nationwide to compete in Malaysia early this year for the International Science Competition. One of the few students who made it was Southville’s consistent academic varsity and veteran contender, Robert Jeremiah Rivera.
